Labster

Gamified educational experience serving as a virtual lab and classroom to increase the engagement of students to learn different science topics (Mobile, VR, WebGL).

Survival horror comedy game where the player was kept captive by Dracula and must find collectible items, uncover the secret of his castle ,and find their way out.

Battle Pals

3rd person shooter for mobile devices set in a funky world that was attacked by evil toy monsters. The player must survive waves of enemy attacks to save the city.

GAME DESIGN PROCESS

Brainstorming and Ideation

In this stage, I led the brainstorming and ideation process. I include my team to collaborate from the early stage of the development to increase the sense of ownership and team buy-ins.


Here, we collect the ideas, mechanics, and inspiration that we think will suit the product that we try to build.

Design Pitch

Based on the brainstorming process, I gather the ideas that we have previously generated and iterate or combine them into a cohesive design.

 

Regularly involving the team will be the key to increasing the sense of team ownership.

Flow Chart and Prototyping

Following the design pitch process, I will create the flow chart of the experience of the product that we try to build. This wireframe will help speed up the prototyping phase later on.

Feedback and Iterations

Throughout the development process, I will be testing each iteration, providing some feedback, and suggesting potential solutions to the team.

 

Together with the user testing result, I will review each feedback and potential iteration and discuss it with the relevant team to find the best solution.

Polishing

Before we release the product, it will be my responsibility to review and identify elements of the product that will need further iteration.

 

From here I will measure the impact it will give. Furthermore, with input from the stakeholders, I will prioritize this improvement and plan the final design decision.
